Taranya Keeren

Navarathiri had just started and is going to end in a few days time. It’s been fun going to temple everyday and all but the main purpose I am writing this article is not about Navarathiri, but it’s actually about people’s behaviour in places of worship. As I have been visiting temples these past few days continuously I started noticing some things which we don’t pay much attention to on normal days. As this has been continuously happening it has caught my attention and I decided to write about it to create awareness amongst our people.

The first thing which really gets on my nerve is that I don’t understand why lots of people have the urge to talk when we are praying? Correct me if I am wrong but don’t we go to temples to pray instead of gossip? I have been experiencing this problem for quite some time. Why do people get the urge to talk right in front of the prayer place? I mean a lot of people are concentrating on praying and suddenly we can hear this buzz right next to our ears. I can hear all kinds of gossip about the saree an auntie in front of me is wearing or comments about the hairstyle of the girl standing behind me. PEOPLE! We don’t want comments about other people when we are praying( thank you very much). Auntie, akka and thangachie I don’t want to know the price of your saree. Uncle, anne and thambi I don’t want to know who won yesterday’s match. Please don’t get me wrong, I am not saying you shouldn’t gossip or talk in temple as it’s not my right but what I am saying is that you can always talk further away from the place of worship like in the temple hall or the general area where people are not praying or meditating. Let’s respect the rights of other please because everyone has the right to undisturbed prayers.

The one thing I really admire about our culture is colour. When we have any festivals we can see all the colours in the world there. Girls in very colourful costumes are such a treat for all our machas but unfortunately nowadays all the colours are turning black. It’s very sad to see our youngsters adorning black colour to temples. Why people why? Temple is supposed to be a place full of positive energy and don’t you all know that black colour contributes to negative energy? Ok forget about the energy but seriously don’t you people know that in most culture black is worn for funerals? Are you indirectly saying that our festivals are like funerals or what? Because I don’t really get the need for you to wear black from head to toe to the temple! Seriously I would really like to see the guys in anything else other than black.

Talking about clothing brings us to next problem. Sexy! Smoking hot! Oh la la! That’s what comes to my mind when I see the kind of costumes our girls are wearing these days. So when I being a girl can think this, imagine what you are doing to the poor bald uncle standing next to you. That poor guy may get heart attack from the excitement of seeing your back and navel exposed. Girls, a lot of people have stressed it and Miss Sivashangkari Genapathy earlier in this blog has even written an article about it. So I seriously hope that you all have enough masala in your mande (brains in your head) to stop using sexy clothing to temple.

Machas! We all know you guys love and absolutely love to sit on or stand next to any wall (I have no idea why) and give a macho pose. We get it that all your hormones starts playing violin the moment you see a myna walking by but please refrain from crowding the prayer area. Please continue your pose in the parking lot or someplace which is wide and free because honestly I don’t think your pose will be noticed by the mynas in a crowded area. Let me give you tips either you gather your balls and go talk to her or try to calm down your hormones and look for another chick in a less crowded area because let me tell you that unless you talk to her you may never know she is looking at you or at your better looking friend.

And finally, after I have battled through all these problem and have just started making deals with God suddenly I can hear kala sala song playing at high volume right next to me and instead of seeing the statue of our goddess in my mind’s eye, I am seeing Miss Malika dancing. What the hell? We all know that you have just purchased your iPhone 5 or Samsung S3 but that does not mean that you get to blast kala sala song at high volume. People please take your phone and check, there will definitely be a button saying silent. Use it! If you don’t have that button, then start walking to the nearest river and throw it! We know you have latest songs in your phone but temple is not the place to exchange playlist. Seriously how dumb can you get to start exchanging songs in the temple? Unless you have suprabatham in your playlist which I highly doubt you do, then don’t start testing your phone volume in the temple. You have your house, room, kedai kopi, mamak stall, tepi jalan and lots of other places to do it, so do it there.

Just a small thing to add on. Have anyone of you seen the Friday prayers conducted by our Muslim friends in Masjid Jamek? If you haven’t then it’s high time you do. They can actually conduct prayers with such a big crowd every week without any fights. But the moment we have any festival the first thing we can find is there will surely be a fight either between gangs or between wannabe gang members whom in reality have not even have finished their form 5. So please if you want to fight, go and find one padang and chop yourself up there and no one would give a shit. But when you chop yourself up in the temple, you give all of us a bad image.

Sorry if I stepped on any toes when I was delivering my points but I don’t mean to hurt anyone and just wanted to get my points across. It’s just that sometimes things which may seem right to us may not seem so to others. Hey we are not all perfect anyways, so let’s at least try to project a proper image of us to others who are watching us. Thanks.

SK Durai

Contoh gay menurut Menteri Pelajaran Malaysia

“Simptom” lesbian:

Tertarik kepada wanita
Menjauhkan diri daripada wanita lain, selain teman wanita mereka
Gemar keluar, makan, dan tidur dengan wanita
Tidak tertarik kepada lelaki

Can you imagine that the Ministry of Education came up with guidelines like this?

“As long as no one forces his cock into your face, there’s no reason to be homophobic. In fact, that term shouldn’t even exist.”

Velmuruga Kalimuthu

I have been thinking about this topic for some time now and worried if I write this a lot of folks going to get pissed. I’m not a writer; so writing about such a big issue is not my cup of tea but I won’t feel good if I don’t share this issue with others. With UPSR just around the corner, here is something to read about our kids.

I was a Tamil school student from Penang and I’m very proud about that. In fact I have been flashing that ‘badge’ all my life. Lately a lot of issues are going on about Tamil school students who goes to secondary school after UPSR can’t keep up, falling behind in education, getting involved in social problems and finally joining some gang with coffin numbers.

First of all Indians are thinking twice to enroll students in SJKT because we think Tamil schools are second grade schools. Indians thinks that Tamil schools students are not getting good education, good facility, qualified teachers compared to SRK counterpart. Most of them fail to notice that SJKT students gets more A’s than SRK students in UPSR. So I’m not here to argue about Tamil school’s education quality.

Now you might ask, what is the problem? Why do you have problem when students are getting good education even in a bad facility…

The problem is how these students go thru hell to produce such results and the aftermath of it.

1- Let’s look at our education system.

Our education system doesn’t require students from standard 1 to standard 5 to produce minimum score to move to next class after each education year. Which means you can be get 10% in all exams and still be able to go to next class. So we have standard 5 Tamil school students who can’t spell SPELLING. These are true facts. I am not pointing fingers at Ministry of Education, teachers, parents or the students for this problem because I am not qualified to do that. My problem is what happens when these students who scores 10 or 20 percent in exams for five years reach standard six and prepare to sit for UPSR? Standard six teachers are obligated to take these low scoring kids and make them to score better in UPSR, in 9 months to make their school look better and get bonus promised by MOE.

2- What the students have to go thru to score better in UPSR?

From the first week in standard six, students have go for ‘extra classes’ for at least 3 hours a day from Monday to Friday and full school hours on Saturday. Which means students will be spending 9-10 hours a day in school alone, not including their external tuition, curricular activities and sports. Some of these might get Sunday off, but they still got school homework remember? School holidays are not for these kids, they still have to go to the special classes that are being conducted by school. So the students who had a relaxed five years of education are all of a sudden thrown in this pressure cooker for 9 months so they can produce best results.

3- What do the standard six teachers have to go thru?

In Tamil school system, if you are a teacher for standard six, you will be teaching for standard six year after year. This means they have to go to school at 7 AM and stay there until the special classes finish around 7PM or later Monday- Friday plus Saturdays. So the standard six school teachers got no life outside of school. They can’t plan family vacations between January and September since they have to conduct ‘special classes’ in school. The best part is their own kids are abandoned while they have to teach these extra classes. I think all standard six teachers will agree to this.

4- So what happens after UPSR?

Students that been free and relaxed for 5 years, thrown in over and cooked to produce good results in UPSR. These students get frustrated and tired after the exam is over and begin to hate school. When the go to secondary school, they experience new environment which is more relaxed school system and new friends. They ignore their studies and start enjoying the newly earned freedom and screws up big time in their exams. Ultimately, the friends from the ‘coffin number’ gangs gain priority, cigarettes, drugs, glues, girl’s follows until they fail to perform in PMR and SPM. Some students are not going to this extreme but we got to admit that these are happening in our community especially Tamil school students.

5- So what is the Solution?

Find easier teaching methods. It’s easier to say than done but somehow the Tamil school teaches have to find a better way to teach our kids. The standard 1- 5 teachers have to teach more effectively and passionately so their students are not left behind when they go next class. This will reduce the burden for standard six students and teachers. Remember, even thou they are 12 year old, they are still kids. They are not puppets that you train day and night to produce good results in UPSR so you and your school can look better. Treat kids like kids, let them have a LIFE.

6- Parents

Parents have to do their part. Just by sending the kids to school doesn’t mean their responsibility is over. Please check your children’s homework. Pay a visit to your children’s school once a month to check on their progress. Communicate to your children and find out what they want, the problems they face and try to solve them. Don’t watch Chitti, Chittappa, Thendral, Annamalai, serials while they are studying, let them have full concentration on studies when they are studying at home. Implement one hour of family study time. Give priority to your kids, not just when they have government exams but all the time. You ‘produced’ them, so it’s your responsibility they grow up to excel in life.

People might ask why this is not happening in Chinese schools, it’s because they are not facing social and economy issues like our community faces. So comparing Chinese Schools and Tamil schools are like comparing Kiwi with Durian. They are not the same.

PS: I’m not against any teachers; in fact I got about 4 teachers in my family. I just feel bad for the students and teachers after looking at their lifestyle.

The blog is purposely written in Bahasa Malaysia and it was written ‘rojak’ style.

Tapi dia kena tahan. Sebab dia buat solo show.

Pastu isu pijak poster.

Manyak cute worrr…Awek cute pun tara suka PM, aisehhh..tara faham la gua…

Tapi, you mau bakar poster CM Lim Guan Eng ka, mau hantar tahi ka, pijak poster Ambiga ka, itu semua tara salah. Mau kencing atas poster diorang pun tara masalah.

BN Youths, menerajui pembangunan negara…

Fikir-fikirkanlah….:P

Sivashangkari Genapathy

I’m titling this article as -Jannal Vecha Jackets in Temples.

Hope we learn something from here

I’m dedicating this article especially to the most beautiful creatures in the world: women.I went to a temple last Friday and the scenes I saw in the temple; mind blowing I couldn’t believe my eyes. Temples seriously has turned out be a place to wash eyes (kannu kaluvurathu); a place to find a prospective new boy or girlfriend or to replace the old ones.

There was this group of four to five girls dressed as if they are on a fashion show with all their “Indian fashion week jackets”, and saree tied like Namitha (below the belly button). They were all hot chicks.

How can the bees miss the hot welcoming flowers right; a group of guys in the equal number was looking at the girls as if they have never seen a boobs or a belly button before. Who wouldn’t?? Even saints will get distracted.

Looking at both the group, at one point even I totally have forgotten my purpose in the temple. It was as if I was witnessing an 80’s Tamil movie love scene. The boys were trying to get the attentions of the girls and the girls were jual mahaling by making the donno face and the famous whatever face.

But coming to think about it, imagine in a most sacred place, in that sort of situation, what are kind of thoughts would be running in their minds? Isn’t it a shame to say that we use our sacred place for these purposes?

Girls it’s high time for all of us to put some sense in our minds. I am not condemning the fashion. You can wear whatever you want. It is your personal choice. Jannal vecha jacket? Door vercha jacket? No jacket? By all means u can wear everything that u think is the current fashion.

But why choose temple to parade? We are distracting ourselves and also the other devotees. To worst how will the pujari (priest) will do his job properly?

Who are we trying to please by dressing like that in the temple? The machas? The priest? The God? Hell NO.After the entire “washing eye” thingy done they dispersed peacefully with prasathams. So that’s all the purpose of coming to temple?

Ladies please think about it.

Seriously, like I have always mentioned in my previous articles, everything in Hindusim has got a reason behind it. And more than usual they are for the betterment of ourselves.Im sure many of us know how ladies should do namaskaram in the temple. But how many of us know the purpose or the meaning or the rationale behind it?

The namaskaram ladies must do in the temple is called panchanga namaskaram. It is where generally a woman kneels down with palms joined together and touches her forehead on the ground while placing her both hand on the ground flat beside her forehead. Basically, the act of namaskaram symbolises the humility and respect and melting of ego; a complete surrender to the Almighty. The rationale for this type of namaskaram prescribed only for women is because there is an injunction in the scriptures that the womb and the breasts of women should not touch the ground.

How you should be in a temple…

They ruled that the part of the body which sustains the growth of the foetus during pregnancy and the part that creates within itself the food for the new born and feeds it should not be allowed to come in contact with the ground. Furthermore it can be a very good exercise for a flat tummy. It is also in the yoga. Besides that the namaskaram is always done with face to the ground. The indriyas (sense organs) face towards the outer world when we lie flat. But when we prostrate on the ground with face to the ground, they are also turned away from the outer world which is again full of distractions.

When our minds are in this mode, the vibration created from all the pooja will flow freely and fill us. It is, just like, water does not remain at altitudes, but flows to level ground and fills it. As a symbol of this mental move, the body is lowered and one prostrates to the ground, head to foot.

My humble request to the ladies lets behave little more sensitive when it comes to these kinds of issues. Let’s start the changes within ourselves. Let’s try to find out reasons on things we are suppose to do at temple. When we know the reasons we will be even more motivated to do it.

Let us be the example to all the so call macho machas out there who come to temple only to wash eyes. If we don’t respond to their songs, eventually they will slowly repent. Even if they don’t who cares right?? We can rock the world if we want to.

Nedumaran Elangovan

Dear Nambikei,

Greetings from a disgruntled Indian.

I do not know how to address you. I do not know how many of you are there. I tried to find some information on your organizational hierarchy, but I am unable to do so.

A WHOIS[1] query done on your site has also not done much help, as your details have been hidden for reasons unknown. Why the secrecy? What are you hiding?

In your own words, you have said that “Nambikei is a news portal focused on reporting the facts and delivering the truth[2].” But by hiding your contact details, you look no better than a Nigerian 419 internet scammer. How can truth and facts be verified without its source being confirmed?

Adding on to that, by saying that you are a ‘news portal’, you are saying that you are bound by the ethics of journalism. The main ones being- truthfulness, accuracy, objectivity, impartiality, fairness and public accountability[3].

None of your info graphs have citations or source details. You a very much ultra-BN and information is being delivered using the Texas Sharpshooter method, where you pick and present selected statistics only, in a way that it will make you look good.

By committing all the offences stated above, you are nothing more than a propaganda machine. I suggest you reword your about page in Facebook.

With that being said, let’s move to the main reason of me writing this open letter to you.

I noticed that in your website (www.nambikei.com), you have a dedicated link for knowing the truth and knowing the facts. I have a few questions that I hope you can answer truthfully.

The questions are based on the ‘facts’ on your site and some other relevant issue affecting our community. I also hope you don’t commit the normal fallacy that most pro-BN sites do by assuming everyone that do not support you are opposition agents. (Case and point below)

Questions are as below:

Tamil Schools

How much is RM 100 million to 500+ Tamils schools, compared to RM 120 million for 1 Maktab Rendah Sains Mara[4]? Note that there is 40+ MRSM in Malaysia.

Do you really think that RM 100 million is all we need?

You might argue that MRSM reserves 10% of places for non-Bumis, but can Team Nambikkei share with me, how many Indians are actually enrolled in MRSMs?

You say that almost RM 400 million spent on schools and bloggers affiliated with BN have also posted breakdown of money give to the schools, but my question would be, who are checking your spending? Can anyone confirm if all the money allocated has been spent in the right way?

Non-Hindu/Non-Tamil Indians

Everything this the MIC does is exclusively Hindu/Tamil. What are the Tamil Christians getting? What are the programs being done by MIC to help the Telegu’s, Malayalees,Sikhs and Bahai Indians?

Don’t they fall under the Indian criteria too? Do you have the breakdown on the assistance provided to them?

Why has there been no official statement from MIC/PPP/BN Indian leaders when Christians are harassed? Take DUMC for an example.

Stateless Indian

The government affords to conduct a large scale “Program Pemutihan” to sort out the millions of foreign workers, but there has not been a similar large scale drive to register and document stateless Indians?

IPTA Intake

Nambikkei, you have said in your infograph that 13 167 Indians have been accepted to public IHLs, but why have you not highlighted that our same IPTAs took in 25 263 foreign students in 2011, an increase from 24,214 students in 2010[5]?

Can Nambikkei explain why we can accept more foreigners than local Indians? 1500 Matriculation seats don’t look much, does it now?

The RM8 Million Co-op & YSS Tekun Loans

You have also stated that RM 100mil has been allocated to Indians in 2012 budget. On 13th October 2011, MIC has said that RM 8 mil has been allocated to Suria Cooperative for Indian traders[6], but until today, no one has any idea where to locate the co-op. What happened to the RM 8 juta?

TEKUN loans for Indians were said to be managed by YSS, a MIC arm. But there has not been any update or information available on YSS site on how the fund were allocated and used. Can you confirm that the loan we properly disbursed?

ASM/AS1M

You have said that all shares allocated have been taken up by Indians. Do you have breakdown by the individual number Indians have bought these shares?

ASM & AS1M do not have maximum investment limits[7]. The 500 million and 900 million in ASM and AS1M may be in hands of a select group of wealthy individuals.

Mammogram Subsidy

You proudly claim that 1013 Indian women have enjoyed the Mammogram subsidy. But you fail to mention that any women aged above 40 (some cases from 35) with income below RM 5K can enjoy this for free and those earning above can enjoy RM 50 subsidy.[8]

This means that there should be more than 1013 Indians ladies eligible. Why has this not been communicated to our poorer, less informed members of the society? How can this be claimed as a success?

Low Cost Housing for Indians

Is there any ‘fact’ or breakdown of low-cost housing developed, allocated and taken up by the poorer Indian? Why are there still families in Kuala Lumpur still living in cowsheds and one room apartments?

Others matter that I hope you can give the facts and the success stories too:

Sale of cheap liquors in Indian neighborhoods.

Gangs in schools.

Sports grants/scholarships for Indian athletes.

Recognition and protection for Indian transgenders.

Audit of Hindu temple funding and spending

And the list goes on. I seriously don’t have the patience and don’t think that you will care to respond if I write even longer. Please understand, holding a finger up, shouting 1Malaysia whilst giving hampers to Indian school kids does not give anyone Nambikkai.

You pretty graphic, and slick videos might look pleasing to the eyes, but change has to be felt by everyone, beyond every social and economic boundry. Progress is not when you say we are progressing. Progress is when I see an Indian teacher with a Masters degree, teaching a computer class, in an air conditioned room, to a group of poor students, each with their own laptops in some estate in Gemas, Gemencheh, Raub or Kuala Krai.

Until then, don’t ask for Nambikkai. We would rather give someone else the opportunity to prove that they can do better. If they can’t, we will get some else to do it again in 5 years.

Thanks & Regards,

SK Durai

Penulis sedang melayan setin Carlsberg sambil melayari Facebook apabila terbaca satu artikel yang cukup menarik perhatian penulis. Setelah habis membaca berita tersebut, penulis ketawa terbahak-bahak kerana sekali lagi parti politik India terbesar di Malaysia(sendiri claim besar) telah membuktikan mereka memang bengap.

Sila baca petikan berita sensasi ini:

“PETALING JAYA: While almost all political parties in the country are scrambling to capture the hearts and minds of voters, MIC, the largest Indian-based political party, seems to be hoping for divine intervention to weather the coming general election.

The party intends to erect an altar in the president’s office at the MIC headquarters, and work is underway to construct a water fountain at the entrance of the building.“The water fountain is supposed to bring good luck… it is claimed that the flowing water is good ‘feng shui’. The altar is under the president’s (G Palanivel) orders. He is a religious man,” said a MIC leader, who declined to be named.”

Meanwhile, FMT learnt that several MIC leaders have also resorted to seeing “bomoh” or witch- doctors to ensure they are given seats to contest under the BN banner at the coming general election.

“Although I have not witnessed it, people tell me that some leaders are holding prayers and rituals secretly outside the headquarters at night in the hope of being named as a candidate,” said the leader.

“I have been in this party for a very long time and this is the first time I hear of leaders seeing bomoh. They have to work to win the hearts of the people instead of indulging in this,” he added.”

Kalau anda kena tipu lagi, anda memang bodoh. Tak payah nak sibuk sibuk tuduh orang lain sebab orang India tak maju.

Fikir fikirkanlah…

Nedumaran Elangovan

“Macha, puthu Tamila pilleh video…sarrekke jokka irruke”.

Im sure, you guys that read this blog, have heard of this. Lots of you won’t admit it, but I am pretty darn sure that those with Bluetooth capable phones surely have had at least one blue clip featuring Indian girls.

I know this one girl, who used to be my junior in college. (My FB inbox is gonna blow with questions ‘yaaru bang anthe pilleh?’). She is a sweet, friendly and in her early twenties. The type of person, you can take home to meet mom. She had everything going well for her, until she met this guy, who managed to get into her heart. After a very public relationship, they broke up due to some differences.

Skip to a few weeks later, this guy, shows up drunk to my place. Queue some drunken confession that he still loves her and all that, he proceeds to show me pictures of him and this girl, in very compromising positions on his hand phone. Not XXX rated, but clearly does indicate that these people have had a sexual relationship. He swore that, I was the only guy he showed the pictures to. The sensible part of me asked me to do what was right, and I managed to convince the guy to delete all the pictures and to forget the whole deal.

I actually don’t bother what is happening between two adults behind closed doors. If you are old enough to fuck, you must be old enough to be responsible for all the consequences.

Let’s assume that the pictures were passed around publically. What will be the outcome?

Normal Indian thinking will assume that this girl has no morals. They will say the girl’s parents have not raised her well. Her friends will suddenly become pathinis and distance themselves from her.

Macha’s who normally masturbate to auntie porn suddenly become nallavan, talking about “Pakke kutthe villaku mathiri irruke, anaa athe vanthe kuttere villaku”. Every low class macha will claim that they also have fucked the girl. Some will even say that they have seen other clips featuring the same girl.

One horny uncle will also download the clip/pic, then in mid-fap, will realize that he knows this girl and her family, and he will proceed to forward this clip to all the girls relatives and family friends. Finally the family will find out. Girl goes into depression. Suicide. Death.

Ok. Maybe I am exaggerating, but you get my flow.

So everyone, listen to what uncle Nedu has to say. Please be safe, protect your modesty. Below, are a few guidelines than you can follow. I am not saying that this will ensure that no one will invade you privacy, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Some of the things below are taken for granted at times. I am trying to create awareness, that’s all.

Trust me, I am friend with a lot of perverts.

MMS/EMail

MMS’s sent through any service provider are kept in the service provider’s server. Let’s say I am a perverted telco engineer. I go on Facebook, I find a pretty girl. I look up her name against my network subscribers. And I find her. I check her history. Find sexy MMS that she sent her boyfriend, and now it’s mine.

Same applies to emails.

Personal Data

Anything you have stored in your laptop, pen drive or memory card can be stolen. Even if you have deleted the files, any internet savvy pervert can retrieve the data using free software downloaded from internet.

A lot of information can be gathered from electronic device with cameras. Even if you have deleted the images and removed the memory card, there are ways to retrieve those images from the phone memory.

Hidden Camera

Hidden cameras are very cheap nowadays. Some can even be set to record if there is movement in front of it. Some have wireless function. Some have memory card slots that can support memory cards up to 16 GBs. That’s a whole lot of pictures of you without your clothes

Check for unusually placed objects and wires. If you are unsure, cover the object with a towel

Most hidden cameras make a low buzzing noise. When you are in a confined location, try to be as quiet as possible, and listen for those sounds.

Camera lenses are made of glass, and light bounces back from glass. Close all curtain and source of lights. Take a piece of paper and make a tube. With one eye closed, look through the tube and shine a flashlight around the room and look for sparkles or small flashes. They might be hidden cameras.

If you find a suspicious object, take your hand phone, make a call, and put on speaker and wave around that object. If you hear a buzzing or clicking sound, most likely that object is broadcasting a radio signal (wireless video cameras/microphones)

If you are really feeling like you are being watched, invest in a radio-frequency detector. They detect signals from wireless cameras, and cost less that RM50 in electronic stores.

If you have a large window, please use dark, thick and opaque curtains. Cameras that have infrared capabilities can easily see through thin curtains.

You might not notice small holes on windows or doors, but an opening a size of a nail head is enough to fix a camera.

What you see as a small opening, less than the width of you pinkie finger is enough for people to spy with, using high powered telescopes that are available for less than RM500 in Petaling Street. They even have attachments for these scopes to be fixed to your iPhone.

Internet Safety

Using public networks, all data can be retrieved and stolen. For example, you use wifi at the mamak or McD, someone can hack into your laptop within a few minutes.

Update your anti-virus; install registry clean & privacy protection software if necessary.

Your laptop webcam can be hacked. If you are online at home, and you are feeling not safe, use black electrical tape to cover your webcam. Better be paranoid than letting strangers look at your hairy butt.

Spyware or viruses that install keyboard trackers can actually log the keys you press as you type and send them back to the hacker who installed it. Let’s say you give your laptop for your ‘friend’ for repairs. He installs key-loggers or backdoors to you machine and steals your personal information without knowing it. Good anti-malware software’s can find and fix these problems.

In a public or work environment, if you are concerned about being spied on, check your computer physically for any unusual devices that may be plugged in, especially on the keyboard cable

You are monitored at work. If you have personal data that you don’t want to share, never keep it in your work PC/Laptop. You system admin can access all those files with ease.

Learn to encrypt your personal data. There are many websites that you can download and learn how to do it.

Summary!

Use your judgment and common sense

Never ever take pictures of yourself in compromising situations. It does not matter you do it with you husband or wife. Anything can happen at any time, and it can end up in the wrong hands.

So kids, be safe. Don’t let me see your nude pictures the next time I go online. (If you want me to see you naked, please email me at enedumaran@google.com . I will give my feedback. And yes, I will delete, promise)

*PS: To my TESL juniors; I am trying to be more structured and trying to group my ideas…thank you for your valuable inputs and ‘tuppe’s” .. Sorry for the horrible grammar, saya budak engineering sahaja.

Follow me @___december

WARNING: This post is straight up, and it will offend you, I will not be responsible for your emotions. Having said that, proceed to read at your own risk. Use sanitized napkins.

Social network has always been a powerful tool or a medium to connect people, your loved ones and random truck drivers across the country, or world. However, recently; well for a few years, I have been encountering this phenomena that I would like to call “The Facebook Models Disorder” . Lets get into details.

Beauty is subjective. I may find a girl who is dark skinned beautiful, but someone might find her looking like air-cond compresser covered with sambar. So beauty is not a vital or crucial criteria for one to become a model.

Its a profession. Its art. It a question of class. Its a medium of branding.

Instead, we have this young, Indian girls in particular posting pictures of them posing in front of some random location, looking confused with a “mau tak mau’ smiley expression on their faces. Please. Not only you have now successfully made yourself look like a dog on an adoption campaign poster, now you have shit load of girls following these steps to gain cheap publicity among friend circles in Facebook. I dont really blame the photographers here, because they are trying to get a photography portfolio together.

However, that is not the main issue here. How these girls behave after the FIRST ”shoot” is the issue. Then you know, shit just got real.

The conventional photos will appear to be shot on locations such as:

- Behind trees, Indians and trees need no further explanation.
- Parks, mostly public parks.
- Lakes – usually some park wit lakes or mosques, during the sunset.
- Chitappa’s workshop
- Tepi parit

Right after the series of photography is done, the model is fed with a bunch of photos to post online, precisely Facebook. They will start posting ONE by ONE to get the attention of their friends. And typically, on the comment section, this is what you will most prolly see:

This is what they do, give positive comments on garbage looking photos, not to mention the horrendous use of language.

This is an eyesore and its spreading like plagues. PUT A STOP TO THIS.

As I mentioned earlier, modeling is a matter of class. The delivery has to be an eye candy, not otherwise. If the photos are ugly and the model is not exactly a model, I suppose it defeats the purpose of the photo going online at the first place. My advice, or my point is simple:

1. Do not post your photos online as a ‘model’ unless you’re seriously into it.

2. Dont post it unless you’re ready. You dont drive across the town without knowing how to drive. You need to pass the tests, and get a license. Same shit to be applied here.

3. Why? It will make you look stupid. Period.

4. Learn to perfect the art, or at least do to it with intense guidelines. End of the day, the credit goes to you.

Last but not least, posing does not make you a model, it just makes a poser. A stupid poser. Have some dignity. On an unrelated issue, here’s a complimentary photo of a monkey.

Everybody love monkeys.

Good day everybody.
